Season 1 of The Great British Bake Off aired between 17 August and 21 September 2010. Ten home bakers took part in a bake-off to test every aspect of their baking skills as they battled to be crowned the Great British Bake Off's best amur baker. One contestant was eliminated every episode until the grand finale, where Edward "Edd" Kimber won.
