Nancy Birtwhistle is a baker who appeared in Series 5 of The Great British Bake Off.

Nancy Birtwhistle is the Series 5 (US Season 1) winner. She applied to compete in Series 4 but earned her place in The Tent the following season.

Nancy earned a master's degree in business administration and retired from the National Health Service in 2007. Since competing in The Great British Bake Off, she has taught classes cake judging, teaching in schools and after-dinner speaking. She publishes recipes and showcases her garden, chickens, and guinea hens on her official website.

The Lincolnshire native lives in Barton upon Humber with her husband Tim and is helping her eight grandchildren develop their own baking skills.[1]
